76 Commemorative Markers and Online Story Map
76 Commemorative Markers and Online Story Map
There are 76 commemorative markers that describe what happened at each site. Trace the course and devastation of the flood through an interactive, online story map, designed and hosted by Smith College. The story map shows the length of the Mill River, the span of the flood, and the locations of 76 historic markers.
Follow the path of the flood by taking self-guided walking tours of markers in the villages of Williamsburg, Haydenville, Leeds, Florence, and Northampton, and at victims’ graves in five local cemeteries. The markers will be on display throughout summer 2024. |
