EVENTS CALENDAR
Mill River Flood Victims
There was no official death toll published.  The sources for this list of 139 victims are the death records of the towns of Williamsburg and Northampton and the newspaper accounts of the circumstances of deaths not recorded in the town's Vital Statistics.  Augustus Laney doesn't appear in the Vital Statistics of either town, but I have included him because Fred Howard, a trusted source, described the circumstances of his death in a letter.  Laney's name also appeared on several newspaper lists as Alexander Lanier.
