The New England Museum Association (NEMA) honored former Acting Director Nancy Rexford with a NEMA Excellence Award on November 20, 2020 during the organization's annual conference held virtually this year.
The NEMA Awards recognize museum workers who show a demonstrated passion for improving New England's museum community, make a sustained commitment to going above and beyond and perform an outstanding act of service. Rexford's herculean efforts in 2013-2016 revitalized Historic Northampton in the face of enormous challenges.
