The Great Northampton Egg Hunt
July 18 - August 2, 2020
Beginning Saturday, July 18th, you and your family will have two weeks to participate in a scavenger hunt, learn more about our local birds ... and possibly win a $50 or $100 Northampton gift card!
Look for 38 bird eggs, which have been hidden in the front store windows of downtown businesses and institutions.
The faux eggs have been painted to look like the eggs of 18 species of birds that nest in Massachusetts, including more than a dozen that nest locally here in Northampton. How to participate:
1. Look for 38 eggs hidden or displayed in the front store windows of restaurants, shops, banks and other institutions in Northampton's downtown area. 2. Use the chart on the poster to identify each egg by its bird name and write down the name of the location (restaurant, shop, bank, institution) where you saw it. 3. You have two weeks to find all 38 eggs. 4. To be eligible to win a gift card, submit your list (location/bird name) via email to Dane Kuttler at [email protected].

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for more information during the next couple of weeks about the featured bird species and for secret messages using eggs for people to unscramble.
