The Sojourner Truth Memorial Committee

The David Ruggles Center focuses on the contributions made to the abolition of slavery by courageous individuals in the Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts.
The Sojourner Truth Memorial Committee dedicated a statue in honor of Sojourner Truth in 2002.  The committee works to promote an understanding of Sojourner Truth's significance in American History.
